Daniel Stein, Embold Health CEO and Founder, was featured on an expert respondent panel during the 28th Annual Conference for the Florida Alliance for Healthcare Value. The conference, “Take Action: Accelerate Value Though Transparency and Innovation,” spanned two days and highlighted ways employers across the state of Florida can tackle the ongoing issues surrounding healthcare including transparency, quality of care and rising costs.
Day two of the conference centered around findings from the Tampa-Orlando Market Assessment that was co-authored by Florida Alliance and Catalyst for Payment Reform. The findings demonstrate that healthcare purchasers have a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to innovate, influence change, and have a market shaping role in healthcare.
Daniel Stein discussed the underutilized and often overlooked opportunity for employers to utilize benefit design to influence meaningful healthcare change, noting the correlation to the market assessment finding that referred to benefit design as the “ace up their sleeve” for employers. Daniel also recapped the ongoing work happening in Florida on behalf of Embold clients. Embold’s work not only makes it easier for participants to get to high-performing doctors, it allows physicians and plans to engage with their data and provides them the opportunity to improve. The respondent panel was in unanimous agreement that quality data and transparency around that data is a critical component to inflect lasting and meaningful change in healthcare.
